Archery is a method of fighting and hunting that developed across the world. There is evidence of bows and arrows dating from ancient times, and as the centuries progressed, the equipment developed too, with bows such as the horse bows of the east or the longbow of the English and Welsh. Arrows had different heads for different purposes. The bow was not merely a weapon of war, although it excelled in that role; it was a domestic tool that helped families and tribes survive in the wild.
Our indoor archery range in Glasgow is suitable for beginners, and for ages 12+. We can guide you through your first steps learning how to use a bow, and can coach you to become more successful at putting your arrows into the target. We have a variety of bows that you can borrow, and more experienced practitioners are welcome to bring your own equipment for use (the instructor must look over it first to ensure it is safe for use), with a maximum draw limit of 50 lbs.
Booking: our sessions are typically quite busy, so we do ask that you book your place before coming to the session, to avoid any disappointment.
Feel free to come along to one of our regular weekly classes and have a go, or even sit and watch a session to see if it would be of interest to you. Send us an email if you would like to ask us any questions beforehand, or just swing by and speak to the instructor on the night.
