Archery developed independently across the world, with evidence that bows and arrows were used in ancient times.
The bow was not merely a weapon of war, although it excelled in that role. It was a also domestic tool that helped families and tribes survive and find food.
Our indoor archery range in Glasgow is suitable for beginners, and for ages 12+. We can guide you through your first steps learning how to use a bow, and can coach you to become more successful at putting your arrows into the target.
We have a variety of bows that you can borrow, and more experienced practitioners are welcome to bring your own equipment for use (the instructor must look over it first to ensure it is safe for use), with a maximum draw limit of 50 lbs.
Send us an email or give us a call if you would like to ask any questions beforehand.
New arrangements due to Covid-19
You must book your participation in advance. We cannot accept any “walk-ins” or “drop-ins”, it has to be booked through the website in advance.
We cannot safely accommodate spectators or other non-participants during any of our activities, and our usual social/seating area is closed since we cannot ensure that it is sufficiently cleaned between uses.
Under-16s must be accompanied by a participating parent or guardian, since we cannot accommodate non-participating spectators at this time.
If you think you might have Covid-19, please stay at home and do not come to the session. You can cancel your booking for a refund or move your booking to another date.
Face coverings (such as those you might wear into a shop) are mandatory for everyone when inside the venue.
We can no longer serve tea and coffee, but the tuckshop is still available if you need to buy a drink or a snack.
