Description
A brief workshop on Bodymechanics and Application of techniques with one handed weapons, focusing on the Messer
In one-handed weapons body mechanics play a very important role in fencing. There barely is a leverage, which can be used to one’s advantage like in Longsword. Hip rotation and proper structure behind strikes, cuts and thrusts therefore become very important in all distances.
In this workshop we want to take a closer look on how to use structure and body mechanics to your own advantage, even against stronger or heavier opponents, who use pure force to rush in and try to get directly into grappling.
